Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) had conducted the group 2 screening test on February 26, 2017 and the results were published earlier today. Along side, the Commission also unveiled some other data per which, 12,641 candidates have been either disqualified or rejected from the exam and the APPSC committee has initiated an investigation against 3 other candidates.

The results were put online at commission’s website (www.psc.ap.gov.in) around 2 AM on April 4th, surprising candidates after creating a state of disarray on the day before. Close to 6.57 lakh applications were received by the commission for this general recruitment.

According to the press note issued by APPSC here, 49,100 candidates qualified the screening test and got shortlisted for mains exam. In case of equal marks, candidate with oldest age will be termed as qualified. Here’s the list of qualified candidates. The marks and roll numbers of the qualified are given there in the PDF and not of others.

The marks of all other candidates (who haven’t qualified) have been published here in 11 PDFs, registration number wise.

APPSC has also disqualified 104 candidates, citing reason as tempering with the OMR sheet in the exam. The marks of those 104 candidates who got rejected or disqualified will not be displayed in the files. 12,537 more candidates have been rejected in cases of bubbling of any kind in the exam. Their roll numbers are given here.

The commission has also set up a committee who is overseeing the matter of investigation about 3 candidates being involved in malpractice in the examination. Here is what APPSC has to say about the matter.

  1. One Register Number belongs to another candidate is wrongly quoted by a candidate who has not applied for examination.
  2. Register Number: 181405476 carrying Cell phone during examination in Hyderabad Centre venue code 23009.
  3. Register Number: 181233178, Venue code 21085 OMR answer sheet not received from the chief superintendent. Investigation is pending against the chief superintendent.

Note: So, if your registration number is not in the list of qualified candidates, look up in the rest of the lists as the case might be otherwise.

The qualified candidates would now have to appear for the mains examination. Mains exam will be a computer based test (CBT) and will be conducted on 20th & 21st May, 2017. In the mains exam, the minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/PH category are set at 135, for BC it is 157.5 and for other categories, the minimum qualifying marks have been set at 180.
