APPSC degree college lecturers exam hall tickets are awaited release within a week. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will be holding the examination for Degree College Lecturers recruitment from June 6 and the APPSC hall tickets for the exam are yet to be published by the Commission. The hall tickets will be available on the official website of commission www.psc.ap.gov.in.
Many media reports are stating that the APPSC hall ticket for Lecturer exam has been released by the Commission, but the same is yet to be done. Usually, the Commission uploads the hall tickets one week prior to the exam date and also notifies the same through a press release. Currently, the website has been updated with a message “The Generation of Hall Tickets for Degree College Lecturers exam scheduled to be held from June 6 to 8 is already started. Hence, the requisitions to change of centers will not be entertained from the candidates.”
APPSC Lecturer hall ticket is expected to be made available in next 3-4 days. To download the hall ticket, the candidates will have to log in to the official website using the OTPR ID and password. To appear in the exam, the candidates are required to carry a valid hall ticket and an identity proof.
On December 27, 2016, the Commission had notified (notification no. 26/2016) to fill 504 vacancies of Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges under A.P. Collegiate Education Service (General Recruitment). The vacancies are distributed among 20 subjects. The application process for Lecturer recruitment was opened from December 29 and concluded on February 17, after the extension in the last date two times. The selected candidates will be liable to be appointed as a Lecturer in the pay scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Rs. 6000 AGP.
The examination for Lecturer post is proposed to be held in Online mode as the exam will be held at Vijayawada or Guntur only. All the candidates will have to appear for two papers; out of which Paper 1 is common for all, while Paper 2 will be of concerned subject. Paper 1 (General Studies & Mental Ability) will be conducted in the forenoon shift on June 6, while the subject papers (Paper 2) will continue up to June 8. Below is the final schedule for APPSC Lecturer exam:
Paper 1 will have 150 questions, each having 1 mark and the time duration will be 150 minutes. While Paper 2 will also have 150 questions, each question will carry 2 marks. Hence, the total marks in Paper 1 will be 150 and 300 in Paper 2.
The Commission has also announced that no exam will be conducted for Subjects of Lecturers in Oriya, Urdu, and Geology as no eligible candidates have applied for these posts.
Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the exam, they will be picked up in the ratio of 2 per one notified post in the order of general merit. The minimum passing marks required for selection will be 40% for OC, 35% for BC, while for SC, ST, PH categories, it will remain 30%. These shortlisted candidates will have to undergo an oral test (interview) of 50 marks. The final selection is to be made on the basis of the main exam and oral test marks put together. The candidates will be selected and allotted to Service/ Department as per their ranks in the merit list and as per Zonal/ Post preference opted by the applicant at the time of making the application.
