More than 1.14 lakh students were waiting for the announcement of AP POLYCET 2015 results, the results have been rolled out on Saturday evening. State Board of Technical Education & Training took the exam on 29 May and a total of 1,14,474 candidates appeared in the exam to crack a seat in the Diploma Courses. It was expected that the POLYCET result will be announced on 8 June 2015, but Education Minister Sri Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced the results yesterday.
POLYCET is the gateway to admission in all the Diploma Courses (Engineering and Non-Engineering/Technology) offered at Polytechnics/Institutions across the State of Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2015-16. This covers Aided and Unaided Polytechnic/Institutions and 2nd Shift Polytechnics in Private Engineering Colleges.
The notification was published on 17 April and the applications from all the eligible and willing candidates were invited from 26 April. A total of 120,845 candidates registered for AP POLYCET 2015, out of which 94.73% appeared for the test. The result of AP Polytechnic Common Entrance Test will be hosted at the official web portal of State Board of Technical Education & Training www.sbtetap.gov.in.
About SBTET : State Board of Technical Education & Training was constituted as a body to regulate courses below undergraduate level in the year 1957. The Board has been created under the authority of Government of Andhra Pradesh as an adjunct office of the Department of Technical Education. SBTET became a statutory body under the A.P. Education Act-1982. The main functions of SBTET includes framing of technical education policies. The affiliation of Diploma Institutes lies with the SBTET, the Board also inspect affiliated institutes on a periodic basis for the standards of courses and facilities provided by the Institutes.
The admissions to all diploma courses will be done strictly on the basis of merit list. AP POLYCET merit list will be published soon. Students can take the print-out of their rank card from the official website as the results have been rolled out.
