The results of AP Police SI prelims 2016 examination have been announced today by the Andhra Pradesh State level Police Recruitment Board (APSLPRB). The board had conducted the Sub Inspector (SI) preliminary exam on November 27 and declared the results on December 6. Candidates may check their AP SI results on the official website (recruitment.appolice.gov.in) now.
In a press note issued here on Tuesday, the board also said that a total of 52, 152 candidates have qualified the preliminary test to appear the next phase of selection criteria, which includes 48,546 male candidates and 3,606 female candidates. 1,02,241 candidates had appeared for the exam, out of which 10,166 were female and the rest were male candidates. A total of 707 posts of Sub-Inspectors are to be filled through this recruitment process. The qualifying marks in the preliminary test remained 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.
The candidates termed as qualified will now have to appear for the Physical Efficiency test (PET). The Physical Efficiency Test includes 100 meters run, long jump, and 1600 meters run for all candidates irrespective of gender, however, the criteria is different for male and female candidates. The PET would be of 100 marks and the candidates will need to qualify each of the three tests.
We reported earlier that the SI prelims results will be out this week and now that it has been, the hall tickets to candidates for PET and dates will be notified within next 2-3 days. The PETs are tentative to commence in December last week on four places i.e. Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Guntur and Kurnool.
Note: The official website (recruitment.appolice.gov.in) seems to be working inefficiently as candidates told us while checking the results. it is advisable is to wait for some time and the site will work.
