AP Police constable prelims exam 2016 result announced- APSLPRB

Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board (APSLPRB) has declared AP Police constable result 2016 for the prelims exam held on November 6. In a press note issued here on Tuesday evening, the board notified that AP Police result for constable preliminary written test has been published. The details of AP Police constable result 2016 have been uploaded on the official website (recruitment.appolice.gov.in) for the candidates.

As per data revealed by APSLPRB, 3,86472 candidates had appeared to write the exam on November 6, out of which 1,16,127 candidates have qualified the prelims to appear for mains examination. The exam was organised at 792 venues across 27 towns. There are currently 4,548 posts advertised for SCT Police constable (Civil) (Men & Women) which further include 3,216 posts of Police Constable (Civil), 1,067 posts of Police Constable (AR), 240 Warder (Male) and 25 posts for Warder (Female). The advertisement was released on July 27, 2016.

Official data following the results also reveals that out of total 3,86,472 candidates appeared, 3,37,368 were male candidates and 49,104 were female candidates. And of total 1,16,127 who qualified, 1,04,575 are male candidates and 11,552 are female candidates.

The results/merit list have been prepared on the basis of cut-off/minimum qualifying marks already set by the board. According to which, the qualifying marks for OC candidates were 40% (i.e., 80 out 200 marks), 35% (70 out of 100 marks) for BC candidates, and 30% (60 out of 200 marks) for SC, ST and ex-Servicemen candidates.

The board had also released the preliminary answer key for the exam and had received a total of 258 objections from the candidates. In response to which, APSLPRB has made correction in one answer and prepared the results taking this in account. The candidates’ OMR/response sheet will be uploaded on the official website on November 18. Candidates may apply for verification of their OMR sheets by paying a fee of Rs 1000 according to the prescribed method (mentioned in press note).

APSLPRB has also notified that AP Police constable mains exam will be held starting from December 1. The hall tickets for mains exam to qualified candidates will be issued on November 25. Candidates may check their APSLPRB constable result or AP Police constable result 2016 here.
