The results for Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test have been announced today by the APSCHE Chairman L.Venugopal Reddy, candidates can access their results at the official web portal, www.appgecet.org. The entrance test was conducted from 25 to 27 May in which a total of 45099 candidates appeared to crack a seat in various PG courses.
While announcing the results, Mr.Reddy said, “As we have found one mistake in the question paper for Electrical and Electronics, the valuation was done for only 119 questions. For the remaining papers, the valuation was done for all the 120 questions.” Under the Convener quota, number of seats available in M.E and M.Tech are 18,150 while same for PG in Pharmacy are 5,500.
As per the official statistics, total applications received were 51263, out of them 37555 have been declared qualified (23788 boys and 13762 girls). The total pass percentage in AP PGECET 2015 is 83.27%. JNTU, Kakinada conducted the entrance examination for total 14 branches.
Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) is a state level common entrance test conducted for admission to Regular PG courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy (M.E/M.Tech./M.Pharmacy), Graduate level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate), the result and rank is valid for admissions in the academic year 2015-16.
Every year PGECET is conducted across the State, this was the first time that the entrance examination was conducted separately for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada on behalf of A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) conducted PGECET 2015 for Andhra Pradesh State.
JNTU also published the answer keys of all the papers as a step for maintaining transparency in the examination process. As of now, the results have been declared and students can access their result by roll number mentioned in the hall ticket.
