AP PECET 2017 on May 1, hall tickets still awaited

AP PECET 2017 is scheduled to be held from May 1 and the applicants have been waiting for the release of PECET hall tickets. As per the notified schedule, the APPECET hall ticket was to be made available for all the candidates from April 24, however, the candidates are still awaiting its release.

AP PECETAndhra Pradesh Physical Education Common Entrance Test (AP PECET) is conducted every year for admission into approved B.P.Ed. (two-year) and U.G.D.P.Ed. (two-year) courses offered by the Universities and affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Acharya Nagarjuna University will be holding PECET 2017 on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

The test was notified on March 3 and the application process commenced on March 8. The application process concluded on April 21, however, if one still wishes to apply for AP PECET 2017, he/she can apply up to April 28 by paying the late fee.

The common entrance test will start from May 1 and it comprises of two parts: Physical Efficiency Test and Skill Test in Game. The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 400 marks, while skill test will be of 100 marks. The admissions in above-mentioned courses will be offered on the basis of ranks awarded to the candidates through AP PECET. The qualifying marks in APPECET will be 30% of the aggregate marks allotted for all the test items i.e. Physical Efficiency Test for 400 marks and Skill Test in games for 100 marks (total of 500 marks excluding incentive marks).

The examination authority was expected to upload the AP PECET hall ticket on Monday as the test will be conducted from May 1. For those candidates who submitted their application with late fee, the hall tickets will be issued on May 2. The candidates will get to know some important details including the test venue, exam date, and instructions through the hall ticket.

The candidates should also note that they are required to carry following original certificates at the time of entrance test:

  • Sports Merit Certificates
  • Pass Certificate in anyone of the following courses: U.G.D.P.Ed/ NIS/ Yoga/ Sports Management/ Sports Sciences/ Sports Journalism/ Olympic Education/ Basic Course in Adventure Sport.
  • N.C.C. Certificate (C- Certificate/ B-Certificate)
  • One set of attested photostat copies of all the above certificates along with a photocopy of hall ticket.
