ICET 2017From May 10: AP ICET results 2017 will be declared today (10 May) according the official notification published by APSCHE. Andhra Pradesh (AP) Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) 2017 was conducted on May 2nd. Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has given the responsibility to conduct AP ICET for the year 2017 to Sri Venkateswara University. APICET 2017 was conducted in online mode.

The results would only be uploaded online and no score/rank card would be dispatched to the candidates. The answer keys and response sheets of the candidates have already been uploaded at the official portal. You can check them here.

Seats:

Reportedly, around 75 thousand candidates had registered to take the AP ICET 2017 against some 55 thousand seats in MBA and MCA courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh. That includes near 40 thousand MBA seats and 15.5 thousand MCA seats in the state. The state currently has nearly 400 colleges offering MBA programme and 200 colleges offering MCA courses which will be accepting ICET scores for admission purposes. The test is for admission to academic session beginning this year.

Considering the number of aspirants and number of seats, there’s still a wide gap here. The seats keep increasing each year but the candidates’ number is not on that level. Last year too, a mere 64.4 thousand appeared for AP ICET. Most of the candidates who at least score the minimum qualifying marks tend to get admission.

Minimum qualifying marks:

To qualify AP ICET 2017, a candidate need to attain at least 25% in the online test, i.e., 50 marks out of total 200 marks and then he/she would be eligible for counselling. APSCHE then prepares a merit list, constituting of students who score above 25% for admissions. However, SC/ST candidates do not need to attain even 25% marks, they’re exempted from minimum qualifying marks criteria. In the exam, 200 questions of 200 marks were asked.

The candidate can also apply for revaluation of his/her answer sheets if not satisfied with the result. The application for revaluation should be submitted within 15 days of the result announcement and by paying a fees of Rs 1000/.
