AP ICET 2017 key and exam paper have been officially released today. Candidates can also view their response sheets after login with their registration number and hall ticket number at the official website (http://sche.ap.gov.in/icet/). AP ICET 2017 exam was conducted on May 2nd in two shifts across 48 cities in the State. The Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET 2017) has been conducted for admissions into the first year of MBA and MCA courses being offered in University Colleges and their Affiliated Colleges. Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati was entrusted to hold the AP ICET 2017 examination by the State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The online applications for the test were submitted from March 1 to April 26 and as per the preliminary reports, over 75 thousand applications have been received by the Varsity. The online hall tickets were issued for all the applicants on April 28.
AP ICET 2017 has been conducted in online mode and the students were required to take a single paper containing 200 multiple choice questions where each question carries 1 mark. The test was organised in two shifts, the first shift from 10 am to 12.30 pm and second shift from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. The questions were distributed among three sections as Section A (75 questions), Section B (75 questions) and Section C (50 questions). As far as the exam pattern is considered, the questions were framed as:
Section A – Analytical Ability: 20 questions on Data Sufficiency and 55 questions on Problem Solving.
Section B – Mathematical Ability: 10 questions on Statistical Ability, 30 questions on Algebraical & Geometrical Ability, and 35 questions on Arithmetical Ability.
Section C – Communication Ability: 10 questions on Vocabulary, 10 questions on Business & Computer Terminology, 15 questions on Functional Grammar, and 15 questions on Reading Comprehension.
AP ICET exam pattern is similar to the major entrance examination being conducted for MBA and MCA courses. The test is specifically designed to measure the candidate’s ability to think systematically, to use the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess his/ her aptitude for admission into MBA/ MCA program.
AP ICET 2017 Key: The preliminary key (Official) will be released by the University on May 4, two days from now. Over 75 thousand applicants wrote the AP ICET 2017 for admissions in the academic session 2017-18. Owing to the large number of seats, Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a popular destination for MBA aspirants. There are over 40 thousand in MBA course being offered in over 400 colleges, apart from some 15.5 thousand MCA seats offered in over 200 colleges.
The minimum qualifying marks in AP ICET are 25 percent i.e. 50 out of 200 marks. The candidates scoring 50 or above marks in the test will be included in the merit list which will be used for admissions by APSCHE. There is no requirement of minimum passing marks for SC & ST candidates. The results will be announced on May 10.
