AP ECET hall ticket 2017 for 3rd May exam has been released. The registered candidates can download their ECET hall tickets from the official website (sche.ap.gov.in/ecet) now. The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur will be holding the exam for the third successive year. The common entrance test will be held in a single shift of 3 hours in 48 cities and the qualified candidates will be eligible for admissions in engineering and pharmacy courses(under lateral entry scheme).
JNTUA had notified the AP ECET 2017 on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education on February 18, while the application process commenced on February 24. Keeping the notified schedule intact, the University has uploaded AP ECET hall ticket today. The mock test facility is also available at the official website so that the candidates can familiarize themselves with the modalities of an online test.
AP Engineering Common Entrance Test or AP ECET is conducted for lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E. and B.Tech course in University engineering colleges and into 2nd year regular B. Pharmacy courses in University colleges. The test is meant for Diploma in an engineering discipline or graduation in Mathematics.
AP ECET 2017 will be conducted as an online test comprising of 200 objective type questions and each question will carry 1 mark. The question paper structure will depend on the course the candidates seek admission into. Check the exam pattern for AP ECET 2017 in general:
For Engineering Stream, the question paper will be divided among four sections:
- Mathematics – 50 questions
- Physics – 25 questions
- Chemistry – 25 questions
- Engineering Subject – 100 questions (separate question paper for each branch of engineering)
For Pharmacy stream, the questions will be framed as:
- Pharmaceutics – 50 questions
- Pharmaceutical Chemistry – 50 questions
- Pharmacognosy – 50 questions
- Pharmacology – 50 questions
For B.Sc. (Mathematics) Stream:
- Mathematics – 100
- Analytical Ability – 50
- Communicative English – 50
The test is scheduled to be held from 10 am to 1 pm. The candidates are required to download AP ECET hall ticket from the official website www.sche.ap.gov.in. The students should check the particulars mentioned in the hall ticket to know about their test venue. No candidate will be allowed entry in the exam hall after the commencement of exam, hence one should reach the exam center well in advance.
The candidates will be given a rank in APECET 2017 only if they obtain minimum qualifying marks which will be 25% of the aggregate marks, ie 50 out of total 200 marks. However, there is no requirement of scoring minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
The university had opened the facility to make corrections in the application form till April 17. However, if one still has to make corrections, he/she should get it done at the Test Center by the Chief Superintendent by carrying valid documentary proof for corrections.
