AP EAMCET 2017 counselling to commence from June 8

All those candidates who have qualified the AP EAMCET 2017 held on April 24, 2017 and fulfil all the eligibility criteria will have to attend the counselling which is scheduled to be held from June 8, 2017 by the admission committee of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). The counselling fee to be paid by those belonging to OC/BC Category is Rs. 1000 while those belonging to SC/ST Category are required to pay Rs. 500.

The document verification at the help centres will be held from June 8 to June 17, 2017.  Selection and locking of the applicant’s preferred course and college will be done in online mode from June 11 to June 20, 2017. The applicants will have to register and create a new password before proceeding to fill their choices of colleges and courses. Candidates can edit the filled in options from June 21 – June 22, 2017. List of First Allotment will be released on June 25, 2017 and candidates will have to report at the allotted institute on June 29, 2017.

STEP 1: Document Verification at the Help Centres: (To be held from June 8 to June 17, 2017). Documents to be Submitted for Verification include AP EAMCET Hall Ticket, Rank Card, Class 10 and Class 12 Mark Sheet, Pass Certificate, Migration Certificate, Aadhaar Card, Domicile Certificate, Disability Certificate (if applicable), Category Certificate (if applicable), Income Certificate (issued after January 1, 2017), NCC/CAP/Sports/Minority Certificates. It is recommended that candidates should carry all these documents in original as well as two sets of photocopy.

STEP 2: Filling Of Choices: (To be held from June 11 – June 20, 2017) The applicants will have to register themselves before selecting their options of college and course. The candidates will have to register themselves by clicking on the link which will be activated on the finalised date.

Next, the applicants will have to fill their preferred colleges and courses by logging in. The OTP number sent to the registered number has to be entered after which the applicants will be able see the institutes on-screen. Any number of options can be selected by the applicants. Verification of engineering colleges and course codes has to be done while filling the options.

STEP 3 – Freezing of Options and Modification: (To be held from June 21 – June 22, 2017) The applicants will be able to select as many options as possible. The selected choices can be modified by the applicants till the last date. After modifying their options, the applicants can successfully save the changes and log out.

STEP 4 – Allotment of Seats: (The First Allotment will be released on June 25, 2017) The allotment to the colleges will be done on the basis of the merit of the applicant as well as his/her preferred choice and availability of seats.

STEP 5 – Report At the Allotted Institute on June 29, 2017 After the release of the allotment list, the applicants will have to download the Challan form for payment and pay the fees in one of the branches of Andhra Pradesh or Indian Bank in the state. A receipt will be provided to the applicants which will have to be brought by the applicants when reporting at the nearest institute.

In case the applicants are happy with their allotted seats, then only they have to report at their allotted institute otherwise they can participate in the next round of counselling if he/she has paid the fees and reported at the allotted institute. Kindly Note: It is not always sure that the seat thus allotted in second round will surely get upgrade chances of downgrade are always prevalent.
