DEECET hall ticket 2017 to be released today

The students seeking admission in D.El.Ed. course have applied for DEECET 2017 and are currently waiting for the release of DEECET hall ticket (admit card). The application process for AP DEECET 2017 started on March 22 and after an extension of 8 days, the process concluded on April 25. The test is conducted each year for admissions into D.El.Ed. course (Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Social Studies) offered in Government DIETs and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions of the State.

Last year, DEECET was conducted in online mode and this time too, the test will be conducted in online mode across all the 13 districts. The test will be conducted from May 4 to 7 in three sessions daily. The candidates can know about their test date, timing, and venue through DEECET hall ticket which will be available from today. The hall tickets will remain available up to the exam date, but the candidates are advised to download DEECET hall ticket as soon as they are uploaded on the official website.

The department has already clarified that the hall tickets will not be issued to the candidates who have submitted the application with no photo/ unclear photo/ inadequate size photograph. AP DEECET 2017 test will comprise of 100 objective type questions divided among two parts. Part A will have 60 questions (60 marks), while Part B will have 40 questions (40 marks). Part A will be common for all the applicants, while Part B will have 4 subjects (Maths/ Physical Science, Biological Science/ Social Studies) and the applicants will have to attempt any one of them depending on their specific course. Below is the marks distribution among topics in Part A:

  • Teaching Aptitude – 5 marks
  • General Knowledge – 5 marks
  • English – 10 marks
  • Telugu – 10 marks
  • Maths – 10 marks
  • General Science – 10 marks
  • Social Studies – 10 marks

Depending on the performance in AP DEECET 2017, the candidates will be awarded ranks. For DEECET rank, the candidates are required to score minimum 50 percent marks in the test. For the candidates belonging to SC, ST & PH category, the minimum marks are 45 percent. The results will be announced along with ranks on May 10, just three days after the test. The counselling for admissions in D.El.Ed. course will commence on May 25, while the academic session will start on June 17.
