AILET 2017 announced by NLU Delhi, Entrance Test on 7 May

Law aspirants should keep their belt tight for the upcoming AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) as the test for admissions in next academic session has been notified. As for the current information, National Law University Delhi (NLU-D) will conduct AILET 2017 on 7th May. The application process would start from next year on January 1, 2017.

AILET 2017 will be held for the admission in five-year integrated undergraduate course and two-year postgraduate course. The university offers 83 and 50 seats for BA. LL.B programme and LL.M programme. Aspirants should increase the pace of preparation with this announcement.

Candidates who have passed class 12th exam with a minimum score of 50% are eligible for the undergraduate LL.B course while for the postgraduate LL.M and PhD course, a candidate should hold LL.B degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55%.

In the AILET exam, a candidate should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the exam to become eligible for the programmes of NLU-D.

The exam pattern and syllabus is most likely to be same as previous AILET. The paper will contain total marks of 150 with an allocated time of 90 minutes. The exam pattern for LL.B and LL.M is different.

For the BA LL.B candidates, there will be 150 objective questions with 1 mark each. The paper will be divided into five sections – English, Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Elementary Mathematics. English, Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge and Reasoning will contain 35 marks each while Elementary Mathematics will contain 10 marks.

And, the paper designed for LL.M aspirants will contain 100 marks for objective questions and 50 marks for an essay topic. The paper of AILET 2017 will be held in offline mode.
