May 10 Update: AIIMS admit card 2017 for AIIMS MBBS 2017 entrance exam have been issued to the registered candidates at aiimsexams.org. Candidates can download their’s under the ‘Academic Courses’ tab at AIIMS exams website after login.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will conduct the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) entrance exam 2017 on May 28.
AIIMS admit card 2017 for MBBS entrance were initially scheduled to be issued on May 1 but the release was then rescheduled for May 8. AIIMS, New Delhi conducts MBBS entrance exam for facilitating the admissions to 7 AIIMS institutions and is among the only two institutions that are exempted from NEET. Except JIPMER and AIIMS, all medical admissions have to be through NEET which was held yesterday.
2nd Update, 07:20 AM 9 May: Some sites are claiming that admit cards are out (were released yesterday). It certainly is not the case here. The admit cards are not out yet. Will update once they are.
Evening update: It’s already near 6 pm and AIIMS hasn’t issued the admit cards yet. We’re keeping a close watch and will update for you here instantly when admit cards are out.
Even though there are only 707 seats in all of 7 AIIMS, (107 in AIIMS New Delhi and 100 each in rest of 6 AIIMS), nearly 1 and a half lakh candidates have applied, preliminary report suggests.
Downloading of AIIMS MBBS admit card
AIIMS admit card 2017 of MBBS entrance will be available from today. As of this writing the admit cards have not been uploaded, but expect the availability by afternoon. Candidates will be able to download their AIIMS MBBS 2017 admit card from official website www.aiimsexams.org followed by a notice regarding the instructions. The admit card can only be downloaded online and will not be dispatched via post or courier. The admit card can be downloaded after entering your registration number and details at the AIIMS website.
AIIMS MBBS 2017 is an online (computer based) test and will be held in two shifts. First session will be held in the morning, timing being 09 am to 12:30 pm. Second slot timings are 3 pm to 6:30 pm. Time duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes for both shifts. The session you’ll have to appear for would be allotted to you. The details of exam centre, report timings and essential guidelines will be mentioned in the admit card.
The test will be in English and Hindi languages. 200 questions will be asked in the exam which will be multiple choice type. Out of total 200, 60 questions will be each from Physics and Chemistry, and Biology (Zoology & Botany) section will also have 60 questions. 20 additional questions will be asked based on general knowledge.
The MBBS entrance exam is for maximum obtainable 200 marks. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and as per negative marking scheme, 1 mark will be deducted for wrong answer. This will play a vital role in your overall performance so, consider before marking any answer if you’re not sure.
