AICTE CMAT 2016 Registrations starts today

cmat 2016 registrationAICTE conducts national level entrance examination ‘Common Management Admission Test’ popularly known as CMAT under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Online registration process for CMAT which is scheduled to be held on January 17, 2016 has kick started from today i.e. November 3 and will end on December 12.

Earlier as per the notification released in August, All India Council for Technical Education – AICTE has scrapped the test for September month. Instead it was decided that the exam will be held in the first week of January 2016. When thousands of students were waiting for the notification for CMAT September, AICTE made another announcement that CMAT will be conducted only once in a year likewise earlier when it was conducted twice a year.

The admit card for the test scheduled to be held in January will be made available on the official website on January 5, 2016 and the result will be declared on January 21, 2016. Candidates have also been given a golden chance to take the trial test online from December 12, 2015. Candidates can make themselves acquainted with the online test and navigation functionality, screens, layout and navigation with the trial test. CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.

As per the reports CMAT September 2014 registration number dropped by almost 40 percent with only about 50,000 applicants registering for the 2014 test as compared to CMAT September 2013. Somewhere around 83,662 candidates had registered for CMAT September 2013 exam.

Questions will be based on quantitative techniques & data interpretation, logical reasoning, language comprehension and general awareness. Each section will have 25 questions each and total marks will be 400 i.e. 100 marks for each section. There will also be negative marking for wrong answers. For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
