AFCAT 2018 Application process to start today, Aadhaar must

Indian Air Force’s Officer-level entry examination is one of the most prestigious examination for the younger generation and with the formal announcement of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 2018) already made, scores of them are waiting for the commencement of online application process. The application form of AFCAT 2018 is to be made available today and the candidates will have to apply online through the newly launched website www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in.

IAF had, four days ago, announced that the AFCAT entry test will be conducted as an Online Test for the first time. For the facilitation of the process, IAF has also developed an online examination portal with the help of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). Earlier this week, IAF had announced that AFCAT 2018 application form will be available from December 16 onwards and currently, the official website (careerindianairforce.cdac.in) is showing “Online Registration will commence soon“. The link of AFCAT application form is expected to be out anytime now, we will update this page with more information later.

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is an entrance examination for selecting eligible candidates to join Indian Air Force as a Commissioned Officer. The candidates declared qualified in the test are further tested as one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB) before being inducted for the courses. AFCAT 01/2018 will select the candidates for the courses commencing in January 2019.

Aadhaar mandatory for filling AFCAT 2017 application:

Like other prominent examinations including engineering, medical, management admission tests, state board exams, IAF has announced that the candidates will have to provide Aadhaar number to complete the application process of AFCAT 1 2018. The step aims to keep track of the candidates until the completion of the selection process and to maintain transparency.

The last date to apply for AFCAT 1 2018 is set as January 14, 2018, while the exam is tentatively scheduled to be held in February. IAF is yet to announce the AFCAT exam date 2018. The candidates can opt for Flying Branch, Technical Branch or Non-Technical (Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education) branch while applying for AFCAT 2018. The candidates should be ready with their active email id, scanned photograph, image and other details to apply for AFCAT 2018 as the AFCAT Candidate Login will be functional soon.
