Aam Aadmi Party is planning to contest Delhi University Students Union Poll. Recently Aam Ami Party (AAP) was able to manage a great victory in Delhi Assembly Polls and in a move to establish its roots, AAP is making an attempt to enter educational institutes and there is none other better place than Delhi University for this. They are trying to carry out the procedure through students’ wing that would help them to manage a strong position along with the political hold.
Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS) is recognized as the official student wing of AAP and they would take part in Students Union Polls that are going to be held in September. However, no final decision has been made till now and thus it’s still a confusion about what’s going to happen. Anupam Singh Yadav, President of CYSS divulged that very soon decision would be finalized regarding the September polls at University. But from now they have started working like protesting against specific issues enhancing the students’ interest.
The rivals like Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), RSS students Wing and National Students Union of India (NSUI) are their main target. They have even organized a team deputing at 40 colleges under DU encouraging students over there. And they divulge that their major thrust would be the admission procedure where about 54,000 admissions are being conducted every year. Alongside, they even attached 3500 sympathizers along with 50 volunteers at different colleges all over Delhi.
Also, they are taking part at Indraprastha University along with JNU and IIT-Delhi. Mr Yadav uttered the words “But we also have teams at JNU, IIT-Delhi and Indraprastha University. There are teams catering to students appearing for civil services exams in the Mukherjee Nagar area and chartered accountancy in the Laxmi Nagar area.”
CYSS is continuously extending their hold over Delhi and is even becoming one of the most important part of AAP. It’s the high time to see what happens in September elections after the great win registered by AAP in Delhi. AAP students wing is not confined inside Delhi only, they are even organizing campaigns over Punjab going ahead of the Punjab elections. Moreover, recently they even unveiled AAP’s Maharashtra unit with the students wing and youth wing.
Graduate’s forum is also taking a leading part over here and thus a new era is coming in student’s politics starting from colleges under DU. Students wing comes out with a great ambitious plan that would be useful to bring in positive approaches at different colleges and Universities.
