Aam Aadmi Party promises 1 lakh jobs ahead of DUSU Polls

During the star-studded event organised by AAP’s students’ wing Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS) at Talkatora Stadium while addressing the students of poll-bound Delhi university, Chief Minister Arvind Kejiriwal made promises of higher education loan scheme, one lakh jobs within a year and free wi-fi in colleges. Not only Arvind Kejriwal was present at the event but also Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Shishodia along other cabinet ministers namely Gopal Rai and Sandeep Kumar and senior party members including Dilip Pandey were present.

Aam Aadmi Party students wing CYSS is for the first time contesting the DUSU elections in a triangular contest. The other two being NSUI and ABVP who have since ages dominated the political scenario of Delhi University.

In his speech, Kejriwal also discussed about the “clean student politics” and said that Delhi University has been since ages and till date is full of corruption and corrupt officials. Further he said, “The AAP government has reduced corruption in Delhi by over 70 per cent in six months.”

Kejriwal while addressing the students about the free wi-fi in all colleges said that he and his team mates are toiling hard day and night to make Delhi the first free wi-fi city across the nation and this dream will turn into a reality soon. The free wi-fi initiative will first be launched within all the colleges across Delhi. Further adding he said that one lakh new job opportunities will be available within the year for students.

Before Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Shishodia addressed the students. He told the students announced that the State Government of Delhi will launch its higher education Loan scheme on September 8, 2015 three days before Delhi University elections has been will be held.

Further highlighting the announcement made by Manish Shishodia, Kejriwal said that the scheme has been launched to make sure that no student drop his/her education due to lack of financial resources. “There are students who can not afford higher education for lack of financial strength. We will ensure guarantee loan for them.”

As DUSU polls 2015 have been scheduled to be conducted on September 11, 2015 across all the colleges of Delhi university all the parties in the debut are leaving no stone unturned to make the students cast vote for their party. Same was done by AAP’s student wing CYSS in Talkatora Stadium on August 31, 2015 by organizing “DU-Rocks Programme’ for the fresher’s of the academic session 2015-16. So many students across from 75 colleges jammed the stadium to enjoy the performances and groove on popular foot stomping numbers belted out by Vishal Dadlani and Shilpa Rao. Raghu Ram anchored the whole event. The event also saw the bands like Astitva and Jasleen Royal.
