Aakash Institute to hold ANTHE exam on 23 Oct; Registrations open

Aakash ANTHE 2016 is going to be conducted on October 23 for the students aspiring to become engineers & doctors. The Aakash Educational Services Pvt. Ltd., popularly known as Aakash Institute has been organising several scholarship exams since past few years. One such exam is Aakash National Talent Hunt Exam (ANTHE) which is further divided into Senior and Junior categories. The qualified students are provided scholarship up to 100 percent depending on their rank in the exam and the Institute also offers Cash awards to top 150 ranked students. The total amount of 100 percent scholarships in fee given by Aakash Institute for ANTHE is Rs 8.64 crore and the cash awards add another Rs 72.5 lakh in it.

The applications for ANTHE 2016 will be open till October 14, 2016 and the exam will held on October 23. The students will also be able to apply till October 17, by paying late fee. The exam fee for Senior category is Rs 300 and Rs 200 for Junior category aspirants.

ANTHE Senior

ANTHE Senior was started seven years back and since then the exam is conducted annually for Class 10th students to offer scholarship for two-year coaching program. The institute will prepare separate merit list for engineering & medical aspirants and top 150 students will be offered complete waiver of tuition fee, admission fee and registration fee upon joining the coaching program. Remaining students obtaining ranks between 151 to 60,000 will be eligible for waiver in tuition fee as per the rules of Aakash Institute management. The Institute will also award cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 to the top ranked student in Medical & Engineering merit list.

ANTHE Senior will be taken as a single paper containing 90 multiple choice questions, consisting 15 questions each from Physics, Chemistry & Biology and 25 questions from Mathematics. Remaining 20 questions will be designed to test mental ability of the aspirants and all the questions will be on the basis of curriculum taught in Class IX & X at All India level. The total marks in the exam will be 360 and there will be no negative marking. The exam will be of two hours duration and will be taken from 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM.

ANTHE Junior

ANTHE-Junior was started in the year 2013 and this will be third edition of the exam for junior category students. The students studying in Class VII, VIII & IX are eligible to appear for ANTHE Junior 2016. The qualified students will be eligible for scholarship for being enrolled into Foundation Coaching program. Top 150 ranked students will be eligible for complete waiver of fee (tuition, admission & Registration), while the students obtaining rank between 151 and 300 will be given 75 percent waiver in Tuition fee and their admission fee will be nil. They will only need to pay 25 percent of the tuition fee and registration fee of Rs. 5,750. The students having rank between 301 to 800 will be eligible for 55 percent waiver in tuition fee while they will have to pay admission fee and registration fee. Similarly, the students securing rank from 801 to 30,000 will be offered waiver in tuition fee ranging from 45 % to 25 %. In addition to the 100 percent scholarship, top 150 students in each class will be given cash prizes. Top ranked student will be eligible for cash award of Rs 20,000.

ANTHE Junior will consist of 80 questions, all of them being multiple choice questions. The distribution of questions will be as : 20 questions to test mental ability, 24 from Mathematics and 12 questions each from Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Total marks will be 320 and like Senior exam, there will be no negative marking in the ANTHE Junior exam. The question paper will be different for class VII, VIII & Class IX students. This exam will also be of two hours duration, and the timings will be 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM.
