Aakash Admission-cum-Scholarship test for Engineering, Medical on 31 July

Akash Institute, a famous coaching institution for medical and engineering entrance exams, is going to conduct a scholarship test named as ACST (Admission cum Scholarship test). Interested students can apply for this exam to get admission in the institute with scholarship scheme. ACST fee is Rs 500 and the test is scheduled to be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016.

Aspirants of Medical NEET and IIT JEE Mains and Advanced can apply for ACST, however, the syllabus is different for medical and engineering aspirants. The test is to be scheduled at various centres across the country.

Engineering aspirants who are studying in class XI, the ACST pattern will be based on class IX & X syllabus. There will be a total of 75 questions divided among Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics containing 25 questions each. While students who are studying in Class 12th or have dropped for preparation, the syllabus will be slightly different. There will be 100 questions based on class XI syllabus spread across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Physics and Chemistry each will contain 25 questions and Maths will contain 50 questions. The time duration will be of 2 hours for all exam and there will be no any negative marking.

ACST pattern for medical aspirant will vary in the course content. For class XI students, questions to be asked will be based on class X syllabus. A total of 75 questions will be there, comprising of 45 and 30 questions in Science and Maths respectively. And for the students of class XII/droppers, questions will be based on class XI syllabus spread across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The number of questions in Biology will be more i.e. 50 and Physics and Chemistry will contain 25 questions each.

Direct admitted students can also apply for the ACST to avail scholarship. But, those students who have already taken admission paying registration, admission fee, and 1st installment of tuition fee are not eligible to appear in the test.
