The Islamic International School – Mumbai is managed by the IRF Educational Trust. It has been conceived, planned and developed by Dr. Zakir Naik, Chairman of the IRF Educational Trust and President of the Islamic Research Foundation, Mumbai. The school’s main branch is located in Mumbai, India. A separate branch is currently open in Chennai (Madras) and a third one is being planned in Dubai as an extension branch.
The school allows children to study under scholarship. Boys and girls at the school study in separate classrooms. Individual classes are limited to a maximum of 30 students. Teachers at the school use a digital writing board to teach students. Classes are scheduled from 6:40 am to 4:30 pm (for hifz students) and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (for regular school timings). The school uses the Cambridge International Board – IGCSE.
The founder has visited several Islamic and educational institutions worldwide and interacted with many experts on school and university education to grasp their approach towards Islamic orientation, teaching methodology, curriculum implementation, and management. The progressive and innovative insights gained from these meetings led to the birth and development of the IIS.

Co-education only till pre-primary section. Separate premises for boys and girls in the secondary section.
Medium of Instruction: English as the medium of instruction and Arabic as a compulsory language.
Affiliation: Alhamdulillah, the formal subjects at the Islamic International School are taught in accordance to the globally acclaimed IGCSE (i.e. X Std.) & A Level (i.e. XII Std.) curriculum format of Cambridge University, UK.
Subjects Taught: Subjects related to Islamic Studies are taught, namely: Arabic Language, Tajweed and Qiraat, Hifz of the Qur’an, Qur’an Studies, Hadith Studies, Seerah of the Prophet, Shariah and Da’wah and others. Formal subjects being taught in correlation to their Islamic context and references too.
