Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test, 2017 is currently underway. The Junior Basic Teacher Test and Shastri TET, which was scheduled to be conducted on 3rd September (Sunday) has been conducted successfully by Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE). As per the reports, around 90 percent candidates attended the first day of HPTET 2017.
Around 10,000 candidates had applied for the JBT-TET and the Board had allotted the roll numbers to around 9,700 applicants. Out of these, around 9 thousand candidates turned up to the exam centers for JBT-TET on 3rd September. Similarly, around 3,500 candidates were issued the admit card for Shastri TET, but around 3 thousand appeared in the test. The two examinations (JBT TET & Shastri TET) were conducted on 3rd September in two different shifts – morning and evening shift.
Earlier, HPBOSE had published a list of candidates whose application was rejected due to non-submission of fee. As many as 414 applications for JBT-TET and 154 applications for Shastri TET were rejected by the Board.
As per the official notice received on the official website of HPBOSE, the remaining six exams under HP TET 2017 will be held on 9th, 10th, and 17th September, 2017. While, the TGT (Non Medical) TET and Language teacher TET will be conducted on 9th September, 2017, TGT Arts TET and TGT (Medical) TET will be held on 10th September. Also TET exam for Punjabi and Urdu subjects will be conducted on 17th September, 2017.
Initially, the HP TET 2017 was notified for only six exams, which was later increased to eight by the Board of Secondary Education. In the revised notification, HPBOSE mentioned the TET dates for Urdu and Punjabi as 17th September, 2017. The admit card of HP TET 2017 can be fetched from the Board’s website.
Each paper under HP TET 2017 comprises of 150 marks, having 150 multiple choice questions. The paper will be distributed among four sections. To pass the exam, the candidates have to score at least 60 percent marks. There shall be no negative marking for the wrong answers.
HPBOSE has made all the arrangements for conducting the TET papers in peaceful manner. Once the whole examination process of HP TET 2017 is over, the Board will prepare merit lists for all the subjects according the marks scored by the candidates in the test. All the eligible candidates will be handed TET qualified certificate, which will remain valid for 7 years from the date of issuance.
HP TET 2017 answer key will be published by the HPBOSE after the completion of exam process. The same will be made available on the official website hpbose.org.
